6º grado: We began class by playing 5 segundos; this was our vocabulary review. After 5 segundos, we continued to practice using numbers in Spanish. After reviewing numbers, we learned how to ask the price of something. In addition, we discussed the concept of exchange rates and how each country uses a specific monetary system (the US dollar, the British pound, the Mexican peso, etc...) We ended the class with a discussion about Guatemala.

7º grado: We began class with a warm-up exercise in which we had to write out numbers in Spanish. We ten took notes on Guatemala and watched a video explaining aspects related to modern Guatemala as it exists today and the ancient Mayan civilization that inhabited that region in the past. We ended class with an exercise to review numbers one last time.

8º grado: We began class with a review of numbers. We then studied the construction of names in the Spanish-speaking world. We ended the class by looking at the roots of names (where modern names come from and what their ancient meanings were.)
