7th grade: Today we talked about missing assignments and zeros. IF YOU STILL HAVE A ZERO OR AN NTI, PLEASE COME TOMORROW IN THE MORNING OR STAY AFTER SCHOOL TO FINISH IT. You can also set up a time during lunch! I gave them a little piece of paper saying exactly what they are missing. PARENTS NEED TO SIGN IT. Finally we did a little translation and we begun talking about the weather and how to talk about it in Spanish.
HW: Make a drawing that shows your favorite season. Title it with the name of your favorite season in Spanish. At the bottom of the pages give me a small paragraph that describe the weather during this season. Example on the Power Point...

8th grade: Due to benchmark testing, we didn't have many students in the class in the beginning. We went through the answers of pages 28 and 29 together and we also answer the questions on pages 30 and 32 of the book. Finally, we begun checking the writing assignment.
HW: Activity of pages 141 and 142 of the Cuadernos de Actividades book. (handout). Students exchange writings and they will be correcting their partners work. Follow the guidance on page 142 for corrections. If you didn't do the assignment or you don't have somebodies work to work on, either complete it tonight and follow the instructios, or wait until tomorrow for feedback.
No PPT today! But here are the guidelines for the test:
-Articles: Definite and Indefinite
-Nouns: Masculine, Femenine, Singular, Plural
-Time: How to tell time in Spanish and how to say "at what time" is an event.
-Vocabulary: Greetings, Farewells and requests
-Adjectives: Noun agreement (gender and number)
-Verbs: SER, GUSTAR and a little of TENER. Pronouns also.
I think that's it for first unit. I will not do numbers on this test. There is a multiple choice part (Grammar, vocabulary, reading and listening) and a speaking and a writing. So it is knowledge but application as well.
